One of the Washington Huskies' top commits in the 2027 class has set his official visit to Montlake.
Four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, a product of Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona, who is ranked as the No. 40 wide receiver in the nation and No. 6 player in the state by 247Sports, will take his official visit to May 29. The 6-foot, 175-pound pass catcher committed to the Huskies in late January over 29 other offers, picking them out of a final five that also included Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and USC, and now, Jedd Fisch's coaching staff will rely on him as a peer recruiter.
On his trip, he'll be flanked by one of Washington's top targets, four-star safety Gavin Williams, along with three-star edge rusher Jag Ioane, and two other commits: four-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju and three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei.
As the Huskies continue to search for their quarterback in the 2027 class, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Sidney's high school teammate, four-star Blake Roskopf, who joined him for an unofficial visit to Seattle on Junior Day, also wound up taking an official trip during that weekend.
Had a great visit at UW for Junior Day! Thanks to the entire staff for a great weekend. Can't wait for the OV! @AZcoachHenri@DEdgeFootball#godawgspic.twitter.com/KLUJabLtIz

At the next level, Sidney, who was limited during his junior season by an injury, looks like a perfect fit for the slot position in Fisch's offense thanks to his versatility and crisp route running.
"Skilled wide receiver with a well-rounded game that should offer some inside-outside versatility with his tempo and hands," 247Sports' Andrew Ivins wrote in his evaluation. "Creates separation with swift releases and will snap open at the intermediate level with slick route running and sudden movements…Not the biggest or strongest target, but attacks the football with impressive body positioning and will absorb contact in traffic…Hungry after the catch and has a good understanding of down, distance, and time as he works the sideline and looks to move the sticks."
As the Huskies continue to make a push for four-star wide receivers Osani Gayles and Tre Moore to round out their class, Sidney and four-star Braylon Pope have given position coach Kevin Cummings a strong leg to stand on as Washington's class currently sits at No. 4 in the country according to 247Sports' rankings.
