The Georgia Bulldogs have lost out on a highly-touted wide receiver recruit on the second day of the early signing period. Four-star wide receiver Brady Marchese flipped from Georgia to the Michigan Wolverines, according to Hayes Fawcett.

Marchese is a four-star wide receiver from the class of 2026. The 6-foot-1, 183-pound wide receiver plays high school football for Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia.

Marchese committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on March 15. Even with a heavy push from the Michigan Wolverines, who put him on an official visit on May 30, he affirmed his commitment to Georgia by shutting down his recruitment.

Still, the Michigan Wolverines struck a deal at the 11th hour, getting Marchese to flip and sign with them. He’ll join former Georgia Bulldog Troy Bowles on the team.

Georgia has been victim to several flips in the class of 2026. Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis flipped to Vanderbilt, three-star JUCO prospect Seven Cloud doesn’t intend to sign with Georgia, and safety Kealan Jones flipped to the rival of “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate”, Georgia Tech.

As a result, the Bulldogs have just the No. 5 recruiting class in the nation. That’s the lowest ranking for a Georgia class since 2016. Their 2026 class is currently second in the SEC behind Alabama.
