Frostburg earns two MEC weekly football honors

FROSTBURG — Two Frostburg State players earned Mountain East Conference (MEC) weekly football honors Monday.
Owen Doyle was named the MEC Offensive Player of the Week while Marquise Allsup was selected as the Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Doyle earned his second Player of the Week award of the season after rushing for 117 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 29-24 win over West Virginia State.
He scored twice in the fourth quarter, including the eventual winning touchdown with about five minutes left.
Allsup intercepted a pass on third and goal in the first quarter and returned it 74 yards, setting up Doyle's first score.
The Bobcats (8-2) end the regular season at Fairmont State on Saturday at noon.
