The Florida State Seminoles hosted four-star cornerback Ai’King Hall on a visit in March and he named them one of the top five schools in his recruitment. Unfortunately for FSU, he committed to the Oregon Ducks on Monday.

Hall is from Dothan, Alabama, and was considering programs across the country, including the Miami Hurricanes, Ole Miss Rebels, and Texas A&M Aggies. He visited Oregon over the weekend, and despite being all the way across the country, he quickly pulled the trigger.

He is ranked as the No. 69 overall player and No. 9 cornerback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 1 player from Alabama.

While FSU has three commitments in the secondary, three-star prospect Dayon Cooper is the only cornerback that new position coach Blue Adams has landed. FSU currently has six total commitments in the 2027 recruiting cycle, giving them the No. 19 overall class in the country.

The Seminoles have struggled to get blue-chip cornerbacks onto campus this spring after hiring Adams, but they do appear to be firmly in the mix for three-star targets Khamani Estrada and Brandon Leavell. It is early, but that will be something to monitor in his first year on the coaching staff.
