FSU football lands Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner from transfer portal

Florida State added depth to its backfield Monday, Jan. 5, landing Texas transfer running back Quintrevion Wisner.
Wisner’s is the Seminoles’ second portal commitment this offseason.
Wisner, a Glenn Heights, Texas native, landed at FSU on Sunday and made his official visit the next day. Newly hired running backs coach Kam Martin helped secure the commitment.
“I had an idea that I was for me, but I had to be up here and feel Coach Kam (Martin) out and really the staff as a whole. They did a great job,” Martin said.
The junior spent three seasons at Texas before entering the portal after the 2025 season. He rushed for 597 yards and three touchdowns on 131 carries last year, adding 146 receiving yards and a score on 22 catches.

His best season came in 2024, when he ran for 1,064 yards and five touchdowns and caught 44 passes for 311 yards and a touchdown.
Wisner is ranked No. 39 overall and the No. 3 running back in the transfer portal by 247Sports.Wisner admitted that coming out of high school, head coach Mike Norvell offered him, and he is thrilled to revisit the conversations he had with him during his visit.
It just brings back memories being able to come around, and he’s the same guy,” Wisner said. “He matches your energy and keeps you going.”
With the loss of Gavin Sawchuk, Kam Davis, and Jaylin Lucas, Wisner will be experienced in the running back room, likely sharing carries with Ousmane Kromah and Samuel Singleton Jr.
“They allowed you to play fast and play strong and smart,” Wisner said. “
“I know the coaching staff that we have , the line and the team that we have, it’s going to be a great year.”
FSU now has two commits from the portal.
