2028 four-star cornerback Kylen Johnson has seen his recruitment take off immensely during the spring and summer as the offers have been coming in abundance. One of them came from the Florida State Seminoles back in May.

Johnson has close to 20 offers in total, but a handful of schools have risen to the top as programs that stand out to the 5-foot-10, 165-pounder. FSU has been mentioned with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Indiana Hoosiers, and Louisville Cardinals in that regard.

He gave a breakdown of why Florida State is in this exclusive group.

"Recruiting me there is Coach Blue [cornerbacks coach Blue Adams]. They've had some successful seasons. Tallahassee, I've gotta see what's up there," Johnson told Brendan Sonnone of 247Sports.

Johnson is the No. 179 recruit in the country and the No. 18 cornerback per the 247Sports composite rankings. He's ranked as the No. 9 prospect in Alabama as well.

He's listed as a cornerback, but Johnson is an all-around athlete who contributed in several ways at Coosa Christian High School as a sophomore and helped them win the 2A state title. He racked up 1,502 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns (seven games over 100 yards) plus 45 receptions for 727 yards and 10 more scores. Defensively, Johnson registered 85 tackles, six tackles for loss, nine interceptions, and 22 pass breakups. As a junior, he'll play at Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama.

The Seminoles need to turn their attention to getting Johnson on campus this season for a game visit.
