FSU making strong push for wide receiver once committed to ACC school

The FSU Seminoles were recently named one of the top schools for 2027 three-star wide receiver Keyon Standifer. He was offered by the program back in December, and he was on campus just a week ago.
As his recruitment gets down to the wire, Chad Simmons of Rivals says that Florida State is working harder than anyone to land the standout from Athens, Georgia.
Keyon Standifer named Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee as his top three last week. Standifer was previously committed to Georgia Tech, so a return to the Yellow Jackets’ class remains a possibility. Florida State may be pushing the hardest right now after hosting him in Tallahassee, Florida earlier this month. Official visits to Georgia Tech and Florida State are already locked in for June, and Standifer has indicated he could make a decision as early as April.
To say that Standifer had a good junior season would be an understatement. He earned the Junior Little Peach Award from the Touchdown Club of Atlanta, which is given to the most outstanding junior in the state of Georgia. He put up an unreal 2,556 yards and 31 total touchdowns on offense. On defense, Standifer snagged seven interceptions as a defensive back. To cap it all off, he was named one of the Juniors Gold Team Top Performers at the Georgia Elite Classic.
With FSU still looking for a wide receiver commit in the 2027 class, I’d expect them to make an even harder push to land Standifer with a decision coming soon.
Per Rivals’ industry rankings, Standifer is the No. 847 overall player and the No. 113 wide receiver in the country. They also have him ranked as the No. 99 prospect in the state of Georgia.
