Ousmane Kromah, Florida State’s sensational sophomore running back, was carted off the field with 1:53 left in the second quarter against Miami Saturday night after a nine-yard first-down carry. Kromah had his left ankle placed in an air cast, and the Seminole bench emptied before he left the field, heading straight to the locker room.

Kromah led the Seminoles in rushing in the first half, carrying the ball 14 times for 44 yards. The running back is also Florida State’s leading ball carrier, with 565 rushing yards on 100 carries and five touchdowns. FSU’s next highest-rusher is quarterback Ashton Daniels with 323 rushing yards.

Kromah’s potential absence leaves the Noles running back depth incredibly thin. Reserve running back Sam Singleton Jr. is already in the midst of an extended injury, leaving RB ‘Tre Wisner and freshman RB Amari Thomas as next up on the depth chart.

Kromah was head coach Mike Norvell’s highest-rated recruit in FSU’s 2025 recruiting class and quickly became one of the Noles’ most impressive playmakers.

Florida State and Miami went into the halftime break tied at 14.
