If Florida State football (3-4 overall, 0-4 ACC) wants to end the regular season on a strong note, it must start that turnaround with a homecoming victory Saturday, Nov. 1, over underdog Wake Forest (5-2, 2-2) at Doak Campbell Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.

The struggling Seminoles and coach Mike Norvell have run out of wiggle room following four consecutive losses to Virginia in double overtime, Miami, Pittsburgh and Stanford.

FSU closes its regular-season schedule with home games against Wake Forest and Virginia Tech (Nov. 15) and road games against Clemson (Nov. 8), North Carolina State (Nov. 21) and Florida (Nov. 29).

Here are some updates for fans heading to the homecoming game.

First, it promises to be a gorgeous Saturday weather-wise for fans with plenty of sun and pleasant temperatures in the low 70s. It’s also expected to dip into the 60s by kickoff.

Secondly, if you are wondering about the injury status of FSU quarterback Tommy Castellanos, his return looks promising.

On Thursday, FSU released its first injury report for the Wake Forest game and Castellanos was listed as probable following his injury against Stanford. Castellanos, who was helped off the field following a targeting call to his head, was also listed as the Seminoles’ starter on the team’s depth chart.
