Game-by-game score predictions for Oregon Football in 2026 season

No matter how you look at it, the Oregon Ducks are expected to be pretty good, if not one of the best teams in the nation this year. While they have some tough tests along the way, general consensus suggests that Dan Lanning will be able to coach his team back to the College Football Playoff, with another chance to bring home the first national championship in program history.

How they get there may be interesting, though. The Ducks have a couple of early tests in the non-conference part of the schedule, an early test in Los Angeles, and a late-season stretch of games that could cause some stress. So what do we think will happen for Oregon over the next several months, and which games do we expect to be the closest?

Here's how we project the season will go for the Ducks, with game-by-game score predictions for every week.

Week 1 vs. Boise State Broncos

Date: September 5, 2026

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 38, Boise State 13

Analysis: On the surface, Boise State is a relatively tough team to face in the first week of the season, considering they are among the favorites to represent the Group of Six in the College Football Playoff once again. However, it's not hard to see that the Ducks simply have far more talent than the Broncos, and if they're as good as we expect them to be this year, then this game should be no trouble at all. Boise State gave Oregon quite a test back in 2024, but I don't think that will happen again this year.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 1-0

Week 2 at Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oregon’s Dakorien Moore, right, flies over the goal line ahead of Oklahoma State’s David Kabongo for a second-quarter touchdown at Autzen.

Date: September 12, 2026

Location: Stillwater, OK

Score Prediction: Oregon 42, Oklahoma State 24

Analysis: Once again, Oregon has an intriguing matchup on paper here, as the Cowboys stand as one of the darling teams of the offseason thanks to Eric Morris and Drew Mestemaker's takeover in Stillwater. Again, though, I don't think it's fair to compare the talent level of these two teams. While Mestemaker my be an elite quarterback, Oregon is elite at every spot on the roster, and I think they have a relatively easy time getting a win down in Oklahoma.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 2-0

Week 3 vs. Portland State Vikings

Oregon running back Dante Dowdell carries the ball as the Oregon Ducks host Portland State in the Ducks’ season opener Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore.

Date: September 18, 2026

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 48, Portland State 6

Analysis: Here's the type of non-conference game that we're used to. Portland State pops up on the schedule often, and the result is almost always the same. The Ducks win this one big, just like always.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 3-0

Week 4 at USC Trojans

Oregon running back Noah Whittington carries the ball as the Oregon Ducks host the USC Trojans on Nov. 22, 2025, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.

Date: September 26, 2026

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Score Prediction: Oregon 27, USC 20

Analysis: Here is the first real test for the Ducks in 2026. We're going to learn a lot about both teams in this Big Ten opener down in Los Angeles. Can Oregon be as dominant as people expect? Will USC finally get back to that level of play that we grew accustomed to a couple of decades ago? This Week 4 game is going to tell us a lot. While I think the Trojans will be solid this year, I think Oregon is the better team and will get this victory on the road.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 4-0

Week 6 vs. UCLA Bruins

Sep 28, 2024; Pasadena, California, USA; Oregon Ducks defensive lineman A'Mauri Washington (52) tackles UCLA Bruins running back T.J. Harden (25) in the backfield during the third quarter at Rose Bowl. Mandatory Credit: Robert Hanashiro-Imagn Images

Date: October 10, 2026

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 34, UCLA 10

Analysis: UCLA is another team that many have circled as a potential Cinderella this season, but I don't think they will be good enough to give Oregon much of a test. After a week off, the Ducks will be rested and happy to be back in Eugene with a lot of eyeballs on this suddenly intriguing matchup. I think it's a comfortable win for Lanning's team.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 5-0

Week 7 vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers

Sep 9, 2017; Eugene, OR, USA; Oregon Ducks wide receiver Charles Nelson (6) fends off Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive back Aaron Williams (24) in the first half at Autzen Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

Date: October 17, 2026

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 42, Nebraska 16

Analysis: Nebraska hasn't done anything this offseason that makes me think they will be able to compete with Oregon. Losing Dylan Raiola to the Ducks was enough to stir up some real hatred in this matchup, but I don't think that's going to lead to much real competition on the field. Give me Oregon in a blowout.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 6-0

Week 8 at Illinois Fighting Illini

Oct 26, 2024; Eugene, Oregon, USA; Oregon Ducks linebacker Devon Jackson (26) tackles Illinois Fighting Illini running back Ca'Lil Valentine (5) during the second half at Autzen Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Troy Wayrynen-Imagn Images

Date: October 24, 2026

Location: Champaign, IL

Score Prediction: Oregon 30, Illinois 17

Analysis: It's going to be interesting to see how good Illinois can actually be this year. They are ushering in a new QB era with Luke Altmyer out the door, but they are well-coached under Bret Bielema and always have solid talent. I think they can hang around a bit and keep this close at home, but in the end, I don't think Oregon is in much danger of actually losing.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 7-0

Week 9 vs. Northwestern Wildcats

Sep 13, 2025; Evanston, Illinois, USA; Oregon Ducks wide receiver Dakorien Moore (1) catches a pass against the Northwestern Wildcats during the first half at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. Mandatory Credit: David Banks-Imagn Images

Date: October 31, 2025

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 49, Northwestern 17

Analysis: This game has a fun story: new Northwestern OC Chip Kelly returns to Eugene on Halloween night, taking us back to Fright Night against USC. However, I think the storylines stop there, as the Ducks blow out the Wildcats at home. These two teams are mismatched, and while Aiden Chiles might be fun at QB for the Wildcats, he won't be enough to threaten Oregon.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 8-0

Week 10 at Ohio State Buckeyes

Jan 1, 2025; Pasadena, CA, USA; Helmets at the line of scrimmage as Oregon Ducks long snapper Luke Basso (43) snaps the ball against the Ohio State Buckeyes during a CFP Quarterfinal at Rose Bowl Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images

Date: November 7, 2026

Location: Columbus, OH

Score Prediction: Ohio State 23, Oregon 21

Analysis: The toughest regular-season game on Oregon's schedule, and the only game I'm actually predicting Oregon will lose. On a neutral field, I think this one is just about a toss-up, with both the Ducks and Buckeyes standing as two of the best teams in the nation. But with Ohio State hosting in the Shoe, I will give them the edge in a close one — and potentially a Big Ten Championship or College Football Playoff preview.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 8-1

Week 11 vs. Michigan Wolverines

Nov 2, 2024; Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA; Oregon Ducks running back Jordan James (20) rushes in the second half against the Michigan Wolverines at Michigan Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-Imagn Images

Date: November 14, 2026

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 27, Michigan 17

Analysis: Facing Michigan a week after going on the road to see Ohio State is no easy feat, but I think the Ducks will benefit from this game coming at home, and the fact that the Wolverines may not be as good as expected this year, with Kyle Whittingham still in his first year and Bryce Underwood yet to reach his ceiling. I think it's a good game, but I expect an Oregon victory.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 9-1

Week 12 at Michigan State Spartans

Date: November 20, 2026

Location: East Lansing, MI

Score Prediction: Oregon 27, Michigan State 9

Analysis: This game has certainly been circled as a "trap game" for the Ducks this year, coming after Ohio State and Michigan, before Washington, and on a short week — played on Friday night. However, these are the type of games that Lanning has been great in over the years, getting his team up when they need it the most. I don't expect anything crazy to happen here, as the Spartans are projected to be one of the worst teams in the conference this year yet again.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 10-1

Week 13 vs. Washington Huskies

Oregon running back Dierre Hill Jr. carries the ball as the Oregon Ducks take on the Washington Huskies on Nov. 29, 2025, at Husky Stadium in Seattle, Washington.

Date: November 28, 2026

Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Score Prediction: Oregon 34, Washington 23

Analysis: It's always fun to end the year with a rivalry game against Washington, and I think that this one might have some juice to it. Oregon walked out of Seattle with a victory last season, and I think they'll do the same at home this year, but it might be a close one for a while. The Huskies have some talent, but they certainly aren't as deep as the Ducks. They also have to play Indiana the week before this game, which may leave them a bit bruised and thin.

Oregon Ducks Predicted Record: 11-1
