GAME THREAD: Notre Dame’s Blue-Gold Game

We have finally reached our destination this spring, as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team hosts its loyal fans for the annual Blue-Gold Game. It should be a gorgeous day for spring football, with today’s forecast in South Bend being sunny and around 65 degrees come kickoff.
Notre Dame will play this game as OFFENSE (Blue) vs DEFENSE (White) and employ a similar scoring system as to what they had last year:
Offense Scores
- Six points for a touchdown
- One point for a PAT
- One point for each first down
- Two points for each play over 20 yards
- Three points for a made field goal
- Two points for a two-point conversion
Defense Scores
- One point for forcing a punt
- Five points for a takeaway in plus territory
- Seven points for a takeaway in minus territory
- 12 points for a defensive score
- Three points for blocking a field goal attempt
- Two points for a PAT returned for a score
- Two points for a failed two-point conversion
- Two points for a fourth-down stop in plus territory or a missed field goal
- Three points for a fourth-down stop in minus territory
