The game time for Rutgers’ matchup against Northwestern on Oct. 24 has been set, as the two teams are set to square off at noon that day at the new Ryan Field. Last month, the Wildcats finished building their new, state-of-the-art, $875 million stadium, with their upcoming matchup against the Scarlet Knights being only their third game in their new home.
Currently, Rutgers sits at 1-4 while the Wildcats have that flipped, sitting at 4-1, with their only loss coming in a hard-fought matchup against Indiana. Their performance over their first five games has earned them the No.25 spot in this week’s AP Poll.
This will be the second leg of a road trip for the Knights, as they will be down in College Park this weekend to play Maryland. Northwestern, on the other hand, will be in East Lansing this week to take on Michigan State before returning home to play Rutgers.
With their next two opponents being some of the worst in the Big Ten, the Wildcats could be looking to secure back-to-back blowout wins to showcase their talent. Rutgers, on the other hand, will be looking to play spoiler and create some positives in what has been a tough season for them.
In addition to the game time, the broadcast has also been announced, with live coverage of the game being available on Peacock.
