Happy New Year, Canes fans!

While your Miami Hurricanes beat Ohio State 24-14 yesterday to advance to Fiesta Bowl in the CFP Semifinals, they don’t have an opponent yet. They will after this last game of the night.

This is a rematch from the epic 43-35 game between these teams played in October. Georgia won that game, and looks to complete the sweep with a win tonight.

Ole Miss is being led by a new coach in Pete Golding, as Lane Kiffin has already departed for LSU. 6 Ole Miss assistants will join Kiffin in Baton Rouge, but not until the Ole Miss season ends.

This is a heavyweight matchup with the 2nd spot in the Fiesta Bowl on the line. There are plenty of storylines either way, but let’s be real: with Carson Beck now leading Miami, the matchup in the semis everybody wants is Georgia, Beck’s former team.

That’s it. We’re already in the semis, so this is easy viewing with nothing on the line but the knowledge of our next opponent. So tune in and talk it up as we watch the Sugar Bowl to see who Miami’s next opponent will be.
