Significant changes are coming to Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium. The Georgia Bulldogs are one of 13 college football programs to agree to a sponsorship deal with Progressive Insurance.
Progressive will advertise its logo on Dooley Field. Last season, Delta advertised on Dooley Field.
Along with Georgia, Progressive agreed to deals with Oregon, Texas Tech, USC, Ole Miss, Colorado, SMU, Iowa, Kansas State, Boise State, Purdue, Syracuse and Wake Forest. It is unclear exactly how much Georgia is receiving in the sponsorship deal, but the Bulldogs are among some of the biggest players in the Name, Image and Likeness landscape.
According to the University of Georgia, the deal "will include sideboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and other game day experiences designed to engage fans" this season.
"As we look for additional revenue streams while maintaining our strong positioning on a national level, this relationship assists in providing the necessary resources for our student-athletes," Georgia athletics director Josh Brooks said on the deal. "We are thrilled that Progressive is joining the many outstanding game day traditions at Sanford Stadium."
Georgia's home opener is on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Tennessee State.
