The Georgia Bulldogs are headed into the regular season looking to get back on top of the sport after a couple of rough finishes to the last two years, but the focus this offseason has been on recruiting.

In the class of 2027, things did not go great for a significant portion of the spring, and while the class is not bad by any means, it's not quite up to the standard either. As for the class of 2028, while there is a very long way to go, things are off to an exceptionally strong start there.

With two of the best players in the country in five-star quarterback Jayden Wade and four-star tight end Asa Wall already committed, the duo is going to be tough to hang onto for the next year-plus. Fortunately for the Bulldogs though, Wade continues to talk about just how locked in he is with Georgia, telling 247 he is not wavering at all on his decision to commit to the Dawgs.

Wade Continues to Be Locked with Georgia Commitment

"I think it stands really, really strong with Georgia. I get on the phone with them every Wednesday just to talk about some plays, talk about some film, so I get use to their playbook early for when I get there," Wade said via Benjamin Wolk of 247. "When I first committed, I committed because of how strongly they showed love to me. Nobody showed me more than that than at Georgia.

"They were very loyal to me too. As time went on, and I was committed, they kept in contact with me, they made sure they were always tapping in with me. It's not like they were texting me one day and then waiting a month to text again. No, they text me every day."

This does not mean that Wade will shut down phone calls from other programs and may very well wind up taking some official visits elsewhere next spring, but ultimately this is all you can ask for from a 2028 recruit especially in today's day and age. He seems to have a genuine enthusiasm about coming to Georgia and getting developed in a time when so many recruits are simply looking for the highest payday possible.

Time will tell if he keeps this mindset for the rest of the process, but Wade sounds like someone who is made of the right kind of stuff, which is exactly what makes him the perfect fit to play for the Bulldogs. It will be a long year and a half until he's signed, sealed and delivered, but Wade is someone who fans are going to absolutely love.
