The wins keep coming for the Georgia Bulldogs, who landed a commitment from five-star quarterback recruit Jayden Wade a day after beating the Texas Longhorns 35-10. Wade is a dual-threat quarterback with excellent athleticism and is the No. 1 QB prospect in the class of 2028.
Wade is the No. 1 recruit in the 2028 recruiting cycle. He’s only a sophomore in high school, but he’s already earned scholarship offers from many of the country’s top college football programs.
Wade plays quarterback for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, which is a high school football powerhouse. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback is from Los Angeles, California. Wade passed for 20 touchdowns and just two interceptions during his 2025 high school season. He posted 243 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
He joins five-star quarterback commitment Jared Curtis as coach Kirby Smart and Georgia’s future at the most important position in football. Wade’s coach at IMG Academy, Greg Studrawa, compares him to former Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud.
Social media reacts after Jayden Wade committed to Georgia
“Georgia has two of the more physically-talented QB prospects committed, adding Jayden Wade in 2028 to go with Jared Curtis in 2026,” Charles Power of Rivals said. “Wade is a sub 4.5 athlete and would be the fastest QB to sign with the Bulldogs since Justin Fields.”
