The Georgia Bulldogs are focused on the present. Georgia’s Sugar Bowl game against the Ole Miss Rebels allows the Bulldogs an opportunity to advance to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff.

Georgia has to take advantage of every play in order to beat an Ole Miss team that has one of the best offenses in the country. The Bulldogs can’t get caught up in their previous 43-35 win over the Rebels and can’t look forward to the potential future chaos that UGA could face. Georgia would play Miami in the playoff semifinals with a Sugar Bowl win and the transfer portal would open the next day on Jan. 2.

Former Georgia tight end Benjamin Watson details that UGA is focused on taking care of the present moment in Georgia’s Sugar Bowl hype video.

“Folks love talking about the past,” Watson said. “And they love pointing to the future. I’m here to tell you that doesn’t matter. This team has started a new season, a new path, a standard with new expectations. What you need to focus on is what’s important now. Winning today. Winning the moment. Win the now.”
