Georgia football with fans in the stands is back in Sanford Stadium for the annual G-Day spring game.

It’s Bulldogs vs. Bulldogs for the intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, April 18.

It should feel like an early season game weather-wise due to unseasonably warm conditions.

The forecast is for 86 degrees at the 1 p.m. start, with temps reaching 88 degrees by 3 p.m., according to accuweather.com. That’s warmer than an Aug. 30 home game against Marshall and a Sept. 6 game against Austin Peay last season.

The last G-Day to top 79 degrees at the start was 2017 when it was 81 degrees. It was 62 in 2025 and 68 in 2024.

This G-Day, unlike last year, will be streamed. It can be seen on SEC Network+.

“We’re going to run some of our offense, we’re going to run some of our defense,” coach Kirby Smart said on 960 The Ref in Athens. “Our kids are going to go out there and play whether the game is on the stream or not on the stream. …I treat that as a game. That’s a game where we’re playing a really good SEC opponent across from us. It’s a great opportunity.”

Georgia already lost Auburn transfer outside linebacker Amaris Williams to a knee injury this spring, but escaping spring without new injuries on Saturday would be ideal.

“These guys are making more money then they’ve ever made, and we don’t need to lose somebody to injury,” Smart said. “We need to continue to get better and we need to find out what we have.”
