Georgia football is scoring at a historic pace

The Georgia Bulldogs have done well so far this season, with a 3-0 record so far. Their offense has been a major contributor to their wins.
The Bulldogs have scored 45 or more points in the first three games this year. In their first contest against Tennessee State, they scored 63. Then, the next week against Western Kentucky was 70. Then, in Week 3 against the Arkansas Razorbacks, it was 45. Georgia's scoring margin of plus-145 is the most the Bulldogs have had in over 100 years.
Of course, they have a great defense that they’re known for, but the offense is doing a lot of heavy lifting as well. They’ve averaged 59.3 points per game up to this point, with 178 total points. Georgia leads the country in scoring.
Running the ball has been a key factor as well. Georgia averages 253.3 rushing yards per game on the back of Nate Frazier, who already has five touchdowns to go along with 202 rushing yards.
The passing game has done tremendously well, with quarterback Gunner Stockton throwing for 583 yards and nine touchdowns with no interceptions. Stockton led 13 straight touchdown drives to start the season for UGA.
“If he needs to, I mean, it’s one of those deals," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said after Stockton rushed for 97 yards in Georgia's win over Arkansas. "He’s a weapon, because a lot of those are drop-back passes that become explosive plays on any time your quarterback can take off and run. It’s a value too, and he’s made really good decisions so far on when to run and when not to run, and also when to get down and when to take a hit.”
Eleven Georgia pass catchers have at least one touchdown. The starters are good, and the backups have been productive when on the field.
It doesn’t seem like Georgia is slowing down anytime soon. They’ll take on the Oklahoma Sooners next at home on Saturday, September 26th. The Sooners have the best team Georgia has faced to date. Oklahoma allows just 7.7 points per game, which is among the best in the country.
