The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to earn a commitment from four-star wide receiver recruit Jamir Dean, who is a member of the class of 2027. Dean is currently committed to the Penn State Nittany Lions, but he has been strongly considering Georgia.
Update: Georgia has flipped Dean from Penn State. Dean becomes Georgia’s 15th commitment in the class of 2027.
Rivals’ Chad Simmons and Harrison Reno both logged projections for Dean to flip his commitment from Penn State to Georgia. The four-star has been committed to the Nittany Lions since May 1.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver is a three-sport athlete for Alcoa High School in Alcoa, Tennessee. Dean plays football, basketball and runs track for his high school.
The Penn State commitment is ranked as the No. 126 recruit nationally in the 2027 recruiting class, per 247Sports. Dean is the No. 18 wide receiver recruit in the country and the fifth-best prospect in Tennessee.
Dean will fit in nicely with Georgia’s 2027 recruiting class. The Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart have 14 commitments right now and the nation’s No. 21 recruiting class. Georgia has one other wide receiver commitment from three-star Taurean Rawlins.
