Georgia Bulldogs running back Roderick Robinson has entered the NCAA transfer portal following the Bulldogs’ College Football Playoff elimination to the Ole Miss Rebels. Robinson is a sophomore and will have two years of eligibility left at his new school.
Robinson battled injuries throughout his time at Georgia, but was able to score a one-yard touchdown catch in Georgia’s SEC championship win over Alabama. Robinson finished the 2025 season with six carries for 22 yards and two receptions for 13 yards and a receiving touchdown.
Robinson missed nearly the entire 2024 college football season with turf toe (for the first 11 games of the season) and then a broken ankle. Robinson appeared in just two games in 2024 and had six touches for 37 yards. Robinson’s 2024 season was disappointing after he showed a ton of promise as a true freshman.
In 2023, Robinson posted career-best numbers across the board. He had 24 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns and showed a lot of potential. However, the previously mentioned injuries have really limited him since then.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound running back is a former four-star recruit from San Diego, California, and he’ll look for more playing time and to get healthier for the 2026 college football season. Robinson’s departure means Georgia’s 2026 running backs room could include Nate Frazier, Chauncey Bowens, Dwight Philips, Bo Walker and four-star signee Jae Lamar.
Cash Jones, Josh McCray and Robinson are all expected to leave the Georgia running back room with Jones and McCray running out of eligibility.
