Georgia Insider Still Expects Another Major Flip to Bulldogs in Class of 2027

The Georgia Bulldogs have not had the best run over the last couple of months in the class of 2027, at times creating some momentum on the recruiting trail but ultimately falling short on numerous high profile targets.
In today's day and age, nothing matters until signing day though, and the Bulldogs do have some guys committed to other schools who they have not stopped recruiting. With the class sitting outside the top-15 in the nation, a top-10 class at this point does not look all that achievable.
At least one Georgia insider says that ship has not sailed yet though.
During an appearance on the Rivals Recruiting Show, Rusty Mansell of Dawgs HQ encouraged fans to be confident and that he still expects the Bulldogs to flip at least one major target to potentially vault close to that top-10.
Georgia Still Not Done in Class of 2027, Mansell Says
"Kirby is always good for one 'big boy' flip"
UGA currently has the No. 16 ranked recruiting class, 8th best in the SEC.
But @RustyMansell_ says they have a shot at at Top10 finish 🐶

"It's gonna be close," Mansell said when asked if the class can get into the top-10, citing big time recent flips like KJ Bolden. "Kirby is always good for one flip….can they win enough of these battles in the next two or three weeks where there's still some decisions left?
"I don't think this is gonna be a top-four class, they've missed on some guys in-state…I do think this is a damn good class, and if they can hold onto the guys they have now and add some key pieces, it's gonna be fine."
Currently, Rivals has the Bulldogs sitting at No. 16 in the country, and it's going to take multiple commitments to make the climb Mansell is referring to and jump some of the other teams in the conference. Battles with schools like Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss over the coming weeks — all of whom are currently ranked ahead of Georgia — could go a long way towards determining just how possible this is.
Who Could Be Next for Bulldogs in Coming Weeks
There are a number of names who Georgia is still targeting that are set to commit in the coming weeks. Four-star defensive linemen Karlos May and Kadin Fife are set to make their decisions soon, while four-star offensive lineman Miller Westerfield appears likely to choose the Bulldogs.
In the defensive backfield, Georgia is still in hot pursuit of names like Seth Williams and Adryan Cole as well as Preston Glasco, and Jacobi Pasley remains a target as an offensive skill player.
As the Bulldogs have found out firsthand this spring, you cannot get everyone and they certainly are not going to do that in this cycle. With that being said, if Georgia can land a couple of the guys it still has its eyes on, this is a class that is going to be just fine and will have numerous future program cornerstones in it.
