Georgia May Be On Cusp of Completing Shocking Flip of SEC Rival's Star Recruit

The Georgia Bulldogs are still trying to land some prospects in the class of 2027 this summer before the season begins and things are largely settled until signing day.
In today's day and age of flips, no class is done until signing day and the Dawgs could still land a few guys during the season, but once the calendar turns to August, the focus is largely going to turn to the season and the class will mostly be done. Georgia has not had a great run over the last couple of months and sit nowhere near the top of the country in terms of their class ranking.
All of this means that July is the time for them to land someone big, and by most accounts, they are still in the conversation for some. They are on the cusp of a pledge from a prospect who would both sting a rival and add some serious star power to their own class though in former Tennessee Volunteers four-star defensive line pledge Kadin Fife.
Georgia Projected to Complete Kadin Fife Flip After He Backed Off Vols Commitment
Momentum started to turn towards the Dawgs in late June for Fife, and sure enough, he wound up officially opened up his recruitment again after being committed to Tennessee since last November. The last official visit he took this spring was to Athens, and he officially de-committed less than two weeks later.
Most recruiting platforms have him pegged to wind up committing to the Dawgs, and while there is no set date at this point, it could come at any point here in the coming weeks if that ultimately is his decision.
Fife, who stands at just below 6-foot-5 and weighs 290 pounds, could be the potential future anchor of whatever defensive line he joins. Rated by Rivals as a top-40 defensive lineman in the nation, Fife dominated in Summerville and has now transferred to Cherokee County High School in Alabama.
Should he ultimately decide Georgia is the place for him, it would give the Bulldogs not only better depth in the defensive line for the class of 2027, but give them a legitimate future difference maker who could put the finishing touches on the group.
Fife is worth watching over the coming weeks as he makes his final decision, but it's obvious that Georgia is the team to beat right now and him ending up elsewhere would be a surprise.
