Georgia Tech football set to unveil new Under Armour uniforms July 1
A new era of Georgia Tech football is about to receive its first official look.
The Yellow Jackets will unveil their new Under Armour football uniforms on July 1, marking the beginning of a new 10-year partnership with the Baltimore-based apparel company after eight seasons with Adidas. Before joining Adidas in 2018, Georgia Tech spent nearly four decades with Russell Athletic.
The uniform reveal has generated plenty of buzz throughout the offseason.
Fans have circulated mockups, concept designs and alleged leaks across social media, with many speculating that navy blue will once again become a more prominent part of Georgia Tech’s football identity. The Yellow Jackets primarily wore white, gold and charcoal gray combinations last season, while traditional navy uniforms were absent from the regular rotation.
Georgia Tech, however, has kept the actual designs under wraps.
School officials have indicated the complete uniform lineup—including jerseys, pants and helmet combinations—will be officially revealed on July 1, with details remaining tightly guarded until the launch.
The apparel change represents more than just a fresh look.
Under Armour’s agreement with Georgia Tech reunites the two organizations nearly 30 years after the Yellow Jackets became the first collegiate athletic department to purchase Under Armour products during the company’s infancy in 1996. The partnership also includes expanded merchandising opportunities, enhanced name, image and likeness initiatives, and increased collaboration on product innovation.
For fans, though, the biggest question remains simple:
What will the Yellow Jackets look like when they take the field this fall?
That answer finally arrives Tuesday, when Georgia Tech officially turns the page to a new chapter in its football history.
