Bailey Stockton has committed to Florida.
The redshirt sophomore wide receiver announced Monday evening via his Instagram that he was committing to continue his career with Jon Sumrall and the Gators. He will be joining the former Georgia Tech offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, who also departed the Jackets for Sumrall’s Gator staff.
Stockton declared for the transfer portal on Jan. 1, also via his Instagram. He spent three seasons with Georgia Tech, recording two starts in 26 games, 21 receptions for 233 yards and 1 touchdown, as well as 3 carries for 16 yards.
Stockton graduated from Prince Avenue Christian, where he went 49-6 under Greg Vandagriff to earn three region titles and two GHSA state titles. In the 2022 state title win over Swainsboro, he played while recovering from a broken collarbone and went on to score two touchdowns.
Stockton isn’t the first Prince Avenue Christian turned Georgia Tech player to transfer. Former quarterback Aaron Philo announced his departure from the program as well. While rumors swirl that he too will pick The Swamp, Philo is still undecided on a landing spot.
Faulkner departed from the Jackets to join incoming head coach Jon Sumrall’s staff at Florida. The Gators went 4-8 this season, firing Billy Napier ahead of their Week 10 matchup against Georgia.
