Georgia vs Charlotte Prediction: The Dawgs Gear Up For the CFP

Georgia did what it needed to do.
Its SEC season is over, it now sits back and waits to see if it gets to play for the conference championship – it needs Texas to beat Texas A&M, or for Alabama to lose to Auburn – but it doesn’t really matter. Win this, and even if it loses to Georgia Tech next week, it’ll be in the College Football Playoff.
But first, the Dawgs have to get by a Charlotte team that can make its program with something stunning at an all-time level.
The 49ers have yet to win a game against an FBS team this season, but …
Georgia’s goal is to not get anyone hurt.

Why Charlotte Will Win
When the Dawgs are playing at full capacity – like they did against Texas – forget it. However, this is about as much of an exhale/letdown/sandwich/any other cliché game as it gets.
Georgia doesn’t want to do anything to put players in harm’s way before getting the Georgia Tech game up next.

Why Georgia Will Win
Charlotte doesn’t do enough to put a dent into the Dawgs.
It’s getting ground on too easily, but it’s the pass defense that has the biggest problem. It gives up big plays by the bucketload, so this is going to be about the Georgia passing efficiency.
Gunner Stockton was fantastic last week against Texas, and he should connect on at least 75% of his passes, and …
Georgia vs Charlotte Prediction, Betting Lines
Get in, get up, get out.
Georgia will try to end this in the first quarter, and it will.
Three early scoring drives will allow the team to pull back off the throttle, and then on Senior Day, the goal will be to get the backups as much work as possible in the second half.
Charlotte will put up a few points in the second half, but there won’t be any drama.
