Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart wasn’t interested in being conservative against Alabama, and his alleged postgame locker room speech offered Bulldogs fans an entertaining glimpse into just how badly he wanted his team to finish the job.
Following Georgia’s road victory over the Crimson Tide, footage reportedly captured Smart delivering an emotional speech to his players. The Bulldogs’ head coach celebrated several critical moments, but his most revealing comments centered on the aggressive mentality Georgia needed to beat Alabama.

Smart appeared particularly excited about his defense knocking Alabama out of field goal range with a timely sack, praising the players responsible for delivering one of the game’s biggest momentum swings.
“Hey defense, you put the fire out [expletive] twice,” Smart reportedly told his team before celebrating the sack involving KJ and Bowden.
However, his comments about Georgia’s offensive approach might have been even more interesting.
Kirby Smart’s Alleged Locker Room Speech Reveals Georgia’s Mindset Against Alabama
Smart reportedly praised a difficult throw and the protection that made it possible, emphasizing that winning important games requires more than simply avoiding mistakes.
“All that [expletive], it took some [expletive] nuts to protect it and it was a [expletive] of a [expletive] throw,” Smart said in the alleged recording.
He then explained why Georgia wasn’t going to settle for playing cautiously with the game hanging in the balance.
“That’s how you win games,” Smart continued. “You don’t sit back, run it and punt it to them. We go win right [expletive] now.”
That mentality says plenty about what Smart expects from his football team. Georgia wasn’t interested in simply surviving Alabama. The Bulldogs wanted to dictate the outcome themselves, even when taking the aggressive approach meant accepting additional risk.
Interestingly, Smart’s message also included a reminder about discipline. The Georgia coach reportedly referenced the examples of unnecessary penalties he regularly shows during team meetings, explaining why he doesn’t want his players making those same mistakes.
“Undisciplined motherf*****s will cost your a**,” Smart reportedly warned.
There’s an important distinction in that message. Smart wants his players competing with tremendous intensity, but he also understands how quickly an unnecessary penalty can undermine an otherwise outstanding performance.
Smart also reminded his players the main reason he shows videos of, in his own words, “some dumb motherf***** swinging and hitting somebody” every single week. He doesn’t want one of his players to make the same mistake Alabama did.
That’s what makes the alleged speech so interesting for Georgia fans. Smart celebrated the Bulldogs’ willingness to attack Alabama while simultaneously reminding them that discipline remains essential to winning.
Georgia’s road victory provided another example of the standard Smart expects, and his reported locker room comments offered a colorful explanation of the mentality behind it. For Bulldogs fans, that combination of aggression and accountability is exactly what they want from their head coach.
