It’s time to start preparing for the 2026 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 3 of the Fran Brown Era.

Name: Antoine Deslauriers
Position: Linebacker
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6’1”

High School/Previous College: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (Rabun Gap, GA)
2025 stats: As one of the few bright spots across the 2025 campaign for the Orange defense, Deslauriers had quite the productive freshman year. He finished with 60 tackles (2o solo, 40 assisted), 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. Deslauriers was also named an All-American freshman by On3 and 247Sports.
2026 projections: Deslauriers is expected to see plenty of action and will serve as one of the key pieces for an Orange defense looking to perform in 2026. Orange fans should see him as the primary middle linebacker doing a little bit of everything, and hopefully become to at least an All-Conference-caliber defender.
How’d he get here?: Committed to the Orange in April 2024 over offers from Miami (FL), Florida State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Auburn, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and a handful of other Power Four programs.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Deslauriers was tied on the 2025 Orange in tackles, and according to the program, he became the first true freshman ever for the program to do that.
