Marshawn Lynch is proving that retirement from football doesn’t mean slowing down. Instead, the former Seattle Seahawks star continues to embrace an unexpected second act behind the camera, and he says his latest opportunity is something bigger than himself.
Speaking in a recent interview shared by Andscape, Lynch reflected on serving as a credentialed photographer during the United States’ FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Australia, crediting his journey to faith.
“God be blessing, man. He be putting me in the… I know we be talking about motion, but God be giving hella motion. You can’t turn that down,” Lynch said.
The former NFL running back also laughed off online speculation that some of his photos had been edited, joking that people claimed they were “photoshopped.” He explained that he’s still learning the craft, admitting he didn’t always know where to position himself for the best shots.
“I’m learning as I’m trying to take pictures,” Lynch said, adding that professional photographers have been helping him understand everything from camera angles to adjusting the aperture.
