The Gophers football program gained a commitment from Edina defensive lineman Gage Geyer on Saturday.
Geyer, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, was offered a scholarship Saturday and committed soon after the offer. He had scholarships from Kansas, Kansas State, Boston College, West Virginia and others, per 247Sports. He was planning to visit the Jayhawks in June.
“Home. I’m beyond blessed and honored to announce my commitment to the University of Minnesota,” Geyer wrote Saturday on X. “Thank you to my family, coaches and teammates for their support in this journey. All glory to god!”
Geyer does not yet have a star rating; he is the ninth commit to the U’s class for 2027 and the second in-state D-lineman after Wayzata’s Eli Diane.
