STARKVILLE, Miss. — Georgia football’s 41-21 victory over Mississippi State was the program’s 900th win all-time.

Only eight other FBS programs have accomplished that. Georgia is now 900-433-54 in 132 years of playing.

Here’s how we graded the Bulldogs in this one that moved their record to 8-1:

Offense A+

Nate Frazier needed only 12 carries to rush for 181 yards and a touchdown. Dillon Bell fumbled deep in Mississippi State territory to leave Georgia with no points on its second drive, but that was about the only thing that didn’t go its way. Georgia scored touchdowns on 5 straight drives. Gunner Stockton went 18 of 29 for 264 yards with 3 touchdowns.

Defense B

Georgia’s defense started slow again, allowing a 75-yard opening drive touchdown, but didn’t allow a score again until it led 38-7 with under 5 minutes to go in the third quarter. The Bulldogs recorded 2 first-half sacks after having just 8 total through the first eight games. Mississippi State averaged just 4.7 yards per play. Raylen Wilson had 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks

Special teams B+

Georgia’s punt team helped get a first down by running onto field twice before the offense drew an offsides. Peyton Woodring booted field goals of 49 and 46 but had his fourth kick off out of bounds this season. Brett Thorson had just 2 punts for a 40 yard average.

Coaching A-

Mike Bobo dialed up plays for an offense that had five plays of 31 or more yards including three running plays. Glenn Schumann’s defense held Mississippi State to its second lowest tying point total and its second lowest total yards total of the season

Overall A

Early kickoff. Sandwich game between Florida and Texas. Cowbwells. None of that fazed Georgia which played its most complete game of the season.
