The Chargers dropped their final preseason game of 2026 to the Rams, and soon the real fun will start.
The preseason is less about wins and losses and more about the potential depth of the roster, and if Thursday was any indication, the Bolts appear to be just fine in the running back department.
Gregory Desrosiers Jr. made his presence known in a big way against the Rams, making a case for a spot on the 53-man roster.
Desrosiers did that in Thursday's contest and then some, recording 118 yards on the ground in only nine carries and one touchdown. His longest run of the night came on a 34-yard rushing touchdown.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh loved what he saw from the former Memphis Tiger.
"He was great. We really like him," Harbaugh said about Derosiers. "Such a good feeling when you see guys playing the game of football that way.
"Playing with their whole heart, actually putting their soul into it," he added.
After the game, Derosiers spoke candidly about what he expects to happen with the 53-man roster cuts on the horizon.
"I do not know. I'm new to this league, so I have no idea what to expect," Derosiers said. "Especially today, I put it in my heart to just go out there and ball. Do what I can to get on a team, hopefully this one.
"Whatever happens is in God's hands and control what I can control because at the end of the day they're going to have a big decision to make," he added. "My job was to make it hard for them."
The Chargers boast a highly competitive running back room that includes Omarion Hampton, Keaton Mitchell, Kimani Vidal, with Jaret Patterson and Amar Johnson also in the mix. Before his explosion against the Rams, Desrosiers was firmly tracking toward a practice squad spot.
However, the calculation shifted slightly due to a mild injury setback suffered by Mitchell. If Mitchell is sidelined for the start of the regular season, a window could open for the Chargers to carry an extra back, which could ultimately be Desrosiers.
