Here’s the answer: The Hoosiers have never won a national championship or reached a championship game.
The last time the Hoosiers won any high-caliber matchup before this season was the 1991 Copper Bowl, where they beat Baylor 24-0. This year, under head coach Curt Cignetti, the Hoosiers went undefeated with a 15-0 record and won the Big Ten conference championship. Indiana also beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl and Oregon in the Peach Bowl en route to the national championship game.
That’s it. Enjoy the national championship!
