Hauss Hejny is heading back into the transfer portal.
The Oklahoma State football quarterback announced his intention to leave the Cowboys in a social media post Thursday, one day ahead of the portal opening on Jan. 2.
It's an offseason of change for the Cowboys, who hired North Texas coach Eric Morris on Nov. 25 to replace longtime OSU legend Mike Gundy.
OSU is expected to be in the mix for former Mean Green quarterback Drew Mestemaker.
Hejny suffered a broken foot in the first quarter of OSU's season opener against UT Martin and didn't play again as the Cowboys stumbled to a 1-11 record.
In his lone start for OSU, Hejny went 5-of-10 passing for 96 yards with a touchdown and 27 rushing yards with another score on four carries.
Hejny, was a four-start recruit out of Aledo, Texas, when he signed with TCU for the 2024 season. He transferred to OSU for the 2025 season with Doug Meacham leaving TCU to become the Cowboys' offensive coordinator.
