Texas football has offensive line issues. In 2025, the Longhorns offensive line wasn't very good. Quarterback Arch Manning was always under pressure and UT's run game was historically bad. Things are still messy. There's no clear favorite at left guard and right tackle Trevor Goosby has a bone bruise on his knee. But there might be some help in the NCAA transfer portal.

Mississippi State offensive tackle Brandon Sneh has entered the transfer portal. Sneh transferred from UAB to Hail State in late January as a "redshirt senior." He was expected to have one more year of eligibility. Mississippi State would have been Sneh's fifth stop in his college football career.

Sneh began his college football career at Elizabeth City State, a school in the University of North Carolina system. There, he started ten games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 before transferring to Wagner College in New York, where he started eleven games in 2024.

He entered the transfer portal and committed to Kansas State in January of 2025. He went through spring practice with the Wildcats before returning to the portal in April and committing to UAB a month later. Sneh started ever game for the Blazers last year at left tackle, including the bowl game against Tulsa.

Sneh was expected to be the frontrunner to win the starting left tackle job for the Bulldogs this season. After being ruled ineligible in March, Sneh signed with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL. He dressed as the third-string right tackle in the first game of the season and started in Game 2. He was then cut.

The 6-foot-6, 315 pound offensive lineman was declared eligible thanks to the same court ruling that let Cole Hutson return to the Longhorns this season.

While Sneh wouldn't set the world on fired in Austin, he would certainly be good depth at left tackle. There's also a chance he could play inside if needed.

The offensive line is so important for Texas if the Longhorns have title hopes. A little depth never hurt.
