MANHATTAN — Vanier Family Football Complex will be plenty busy this week, with Kansas State football coach Collin Klein and staff hosting targets from the transfer portal.
K-State landed its first pledge on Sunday, Jan. 4, when former Arkansas defensive back Keshawn Davila committed to play for the Wildcats. It was a busy day for portal commitments across the country, and it’s not expected to slow down anytime soon.
The Wildcats have already hosted a handful of recruits and are in the mix for quite a few more over the next week as Klein continues to build his roster for the 2026 season.
Here’s a look at who Kansas State has hosted and is expected to host in the coming days.
Charlie Adams, Cal Poly, OL
Adams was in Manhattan over the weekend after not allowing a sack at Cal Poly during his sophomore year. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound tackle also has offers from Southern Miss and North Texas.
Antonio Tripp, Florida International, OL
Tripp had an official visit in Manhattan on Saturday. At 6-foot-3, 300 pounds, Tripp redshirted in 2023 at Miami (Florida) before playing one game for the Hurricanes in 2024. At Florida International in 2025, he played 526 snaps, allowing eight pressures, three sacks and four quarterback hurries.
De’Arieun Hicks, Garner-Webb, DL
Hicks was in town over the weekend and will be at Iowa State on Jan. 5. At 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Hicks had 21 tackles and 4.5 for a loss in 2025.
Izaiah Williams, Texas A&M, WR
Visited Jan. 3-4
The son of former K-State defensive end Melvin Williams (1998-02), it was his father who tipped off on Facebook that he was visiting Kansas State, posting “There’s no place like home …. Time to go to work …EMAW,” with a bunch of pictures of the former Aggies wide receiver in K-State gear, which certainly sounds like good news for the Wildcats.
As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Williams caught seven passes for 64 yards and a touchdown in Klein’s offense.
Jacobi Oliphant, Oklahoma State, LB
Oliphant was in Manhattan on Jan. 4, after playing a redshirt freshman season with Oklahoma State, in which he made 26 tackles, three for a loss, with one sack, one quarterback hurry and a pass breakup. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 228 pounds.
Koy Beasley, Miami (Ohio), S
The 5-foot-10 safety had 50 total tackles and an interception during his redshirt freshman season for the RedHawks in 2025. There are no other reported visits for Beasley so far.
Ian Foster, Southern Miss, S
Foster has a handful of schools in the running for his two years of eligibility. The 5-foot-10 safety had 124 total tackles over the last two seasons, along with 11 pass breakups, three interceptions and a pair of touchdowns. He’s also considering Memphis, Houston, Ole Miss, Oregon and Arkansas.
Chris Jones, Southern Miss, LB
Jones was the Sun Belt’s leading tackler in 2025, and he’s been well sought after since he entered the portal. He will reportedly visit Ole Miss on Monday before heading to Manhattan on Wednesday. He’s collected 179 total tackles, a pair of interceptions and 3.5 sacks over the last two seasons.
Caden Marshall, Bowling Green, LB
Marshall has collected offers from Arizona State, Mountain West programs and SMU. He’s scheduled to visit SMU sometime this week. Marshall started six games and made 38 tackles across eight for the Falcons.
Jamond Mathis, Kent State, DE
Mathis is scheduled to visit Manhattan on Thursday and then go to Memphis on Friday. He was a second-team All-MAC performer in his lone season at Kent State, which followed two years at FCS Southern Illinois. He recorded 28 tackles and six sacks in 2025.
Cam Pettaway, Bowling Green, RB
Pettaway is coming off being named the MAC Freshman of the Year as a standout running back and kick returner for the Falcons. He started in four of his nine appearances, rushing for 365 yards on 72 attempts, to go along with 139 receiving yards on eight catches. He averaged 33 yards per kick return and took the opening kick of the 2025 season to the house.
Jojo Hayden, Illinois, LB
Hayden has reported visits to SMU, Kansas State and Purdue this week. He played in 11 games for the Fighting Illini this season, making 26 tackles, 1.5 for a loss, with one fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 245 pounds, coming off his sophomore season.
Ja’Cory Thomas, Old Dominion, WR
Thomas is scheduled to visit Kansas State after visiting Houston, Baylor and Mizzou. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, and he finished second on the team with 41 catches for 719 yards and five touchdowns. He played his junior college ball at Hutchinson.
Mekhi Mason, Louisiana Tech, LB
There’s no reported date yet for Mason, but he was an All-Conference USA linebacker last season with 68 tackles, including 14.5 for a loss. He is also set to visit NC State, Michigan State, TCU and UCF.
Bill Davis, Louisiana, RB
Davis visited Virginia Tech this past weekend and is also being courted by Iowa State, Colorado and James Madison. He rushed for 739 yards and six touchdowns in 2025.
Malachi Preciado, South Alabama, OL
Preciado’s X account has been silent since he was offered by K-State when the portal opened. He is a 6-foot-2, 294-pound center from South Alabama who has started the last two seasons in the Sun Belt. He allowed nine pressures and one sack in 2025, while Pro Football Focus gave him a 60.5 run block grade.
Santana Wilson, Texas, CB
Coming off a redshirt-freshman season, Wilson is reportedly looking at Texas, Arizona State and Kansas State, as he sets up a visit to Manhattan. He’s a 6-foot orner, who was a four-star prospect out of high school and a top 150 recruit.
Wes King, Wyoming, OL
King was a three-year starter at Wyoming, where he never allowed a sack in 1,750 snaps. The guard is listed at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds. He visited Texas over the weekend and will see Kansas State and West Virginia.
