High school football Thanksgiving Player of the Week Poll. Vote for #1

They earned a spot at the front of the line to make a plate. These 13 high school football players shined on Thanksgiving to close their season with rivalry triumphs.

Here are the nominees for the Daily News Thanksgiving High School Football Player of the Week:

Ben Bertonazzi, Algonquin: Ran for three touchdowns in a victory against Westborough.

Ryan Burns, Milford: Had a strip sack and recovered a fumble for his first career touchdown in a win over Taunton.

Dylan Dean, Blacktone Valley Tech: Completed 10-of-17 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns in win over Nipmuc in the Battle of Pleasant Street.

Roy Gao, Hudson: Kicked two extra points, a 41-yard field goal and ran in a 2-point conversion in the Hawks' win over Marlborough to win Offensive MVP honors.

Logan Keaney, Medway: Ran the ball 13 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns and added 138 yards passing on 12-of-24 attempts in a win over Millis. Keaney also hit 6-of-7 extra point attempts.

Brady McCormack, Medfield: Ran for three touchdowns in a victory against Dover-Sherborn. They covered 40, 23 and 44 yards.

Paul McGrath, Holliston: Ran for 96 yards and a touchdown and also caught two passes for 14 yards in a loss to Westwood.

James Mortarelli, Natick:Scored two touchdowns and blocked a punt in a 33-6 win over Framingham. The senior caught a 7-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and returned an interception 33 yards to the house in the final few minutes of the first half.

Nick O'Brien, Tri-County:Became the first Cougar ever with 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in the same season after a 51-14 Thanksgiving Eve win over Old Colony on Wednesday, the program's first since 2021. O'Brien caught nine passes for 110 yards and a touchdown and ran three times for 55 yards and two scores.

Kevin Ozulumba, Ashland: Ran for 213 yards in a win over Hopkinton, breaking the 2,000-yard mark for the season. Ozulumba also scored five touchdowns.

Stephon Reed, Franklin: Caught two touchdown passes in a loss against Division 3 Super Bowl-bound King Philip.

Bobby Shanahan, Wellesley: Threw two touchdowns and ran for a score in a victory over Needham.

Mason Tarantino, Lincoln-Sudbury: Threw two touchdown passes and ran for 83 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Newton South.
