One of the biggest stories of the college football offseason is tied to Indiana football. A bit.
Brendan Sorsby, who was on Indiana’s roster during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, emerging as the starting quarterback in the latter, revealed that he’s been betting on sports during his time as an athlete at both Indiana and Cincinnati. He was one of the most coveted quarterback prospects in the transfer portal this past offseason, ultimately landing at Texas Tech.
In a case seeking clarity on his eligibility ahead of the 2026-27 season, Sorsby said he bet on Indiana’s games in 2022 as a way of feeling more connected to the game and his teammates. He states that he never used any non-public information while placing these bets and never bet against Indiana.
