There was plenty to talk about from Indiana’s too close for comfort 29-23 win over Northwestern last weekend, but no issues loomed larger than the departures of running back Turbo Richard and linebacker Rolijah Hardy.
Richard exited the game after being tackled by a Northwestern player, appearing to get his leg caught, while Hardy exited later on after a tackle on Wildcats quarterback Aidan Chiles. The program got some good news on Richard in particular after the game, with Curt Cignetti calling him “day-to-day” and noting that he’s optimistic that both he and Hardy will be able to play on Saturday against Rutgers.
That’s huge for Indiana, which is looking to move to 5-0 and extend its ongoing winning streak to 21 games.
