OXFORD — Former Ole Miss football defensive end Princewill Umanmielen is following Lane Kiffin to LSU.
Umanmielen posted the news on social media on Jan. 21. Kiffin chimed in on social media before Umanmielen officially committed to LSU.
Kiffin posted a “thinking” emoji on X to a news report that Umanmielen was officially in the transfer portal. Shortly after, Umanmielen became the fourth Ole Miss player to transfer to LSU.
It’s a major addition. Umanmielen led the Rebels with nine sacks in 2025. He is going into his senior season.

Umanmielen joined Ole Miss wide receiver Winston Watkins, linebacker TJ Dottery and lineman Devin Harper in following Kiffin. LSU will play at Ole Miss in 2026 on Sept. 19.
Ole Miss announced on Jan. 5 that Umanmielen would be staying in Oxford. News broke that Umanmielen intended to enter the transfer portal on Jan. 15.
The transfer portal closed Jan. 16, but movement is still possible due to paperwork delays and processing time.
Kiffin and the Tigers have the No. 1 class. Coach Pete Golding and Ole Miss are No. 2 nationally in the 247Sports rankings.
