How Oregon Ducks transfers performed in Week 6 of the 2026 season

It's been a very strong year for the outgoing 2026 transfer class from the Oregon Ducks program, which should come as no surprise. The 2025 Ducks roster was absolutely loaded, with highly-rated recruits at quite literally every spot on the roster from the starter to the third-stringers.

But with a number of Oregon standouts that either elected to forego the NFL Draft and return to Eugene or simply have more years of eligibility ahead of them, there were 30 players that entered the transfer portal and found homes elsewhere during the January portal period.

A testament to just how talented those players were, 23 of the 30 outgoing transfers landed with Power Four programs. More than half of those players are contributing in either a starting or rotational role, seeing more time with their new program than they likely would've at Oregon despite the Ducks stumbling to a 3-2 record and being unranked heading into Week 7.

The Ducks' roster just hasn't come together how anyone in the program would've hoped — but it's certainly coming together for the following former Ducks, all of whom had productive days in Week 6.

WR Kyler Kasper — BYU Cougars

After catching just six passes for 77 yards in four seasons with the Ducks, Kyler Kasper has broken out in five games at BYU. After catching three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown on Friday night against Iowa State, Kasper is now up to 14 catches, 178 yards and three touchdowns. The Cougars are 5-0 and ranked No. 8 in the nation.

DE Blake Purchase — Ole Miss Rebels

Blake Purchase had arguably the best game of his career against Vanderbilt, recording five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in Ole Miss' 52-17 victory. Purchase is sixth on the team in tackles and leads the Rebels with 3.5 sacks.

RB Makhi Hughes — Houston Cougars

Though it appears Makhi Hughes is no longer the RB1 for Houston, he still carried the ball 14 times for 78 yards and a touchdown in the Cougars' 35-16 win over Kansas State. He's now up to 387 yards and three rush touchdowns on the year.

DL Jericho Johnson — California Golden Bears

Jericho Johnson wreaked havoc against Virginia Tech this week, totaling five tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack in their much-needed 25-20 win over the Hokies.

TE Roger Saleapaga — BYU Cougars

Joining Kasper at BYU, Roger Saleapaga had the biggest receiving day of his career against Iowa State. He caught just two passes, but took one upfield for 63 yards and another for nine yards. He finished second on the team with 72 receiving yards in the victory.

LB Keith Brown — Washington State Cougars

Keith Brown continues to rack up tackles for the Cougars. Taking on Utah State on Friday night, Brown had six tackles, half a tackle for loss and a pass deflection in the 17-16 loss. Brown is now up to 36 tackles on the year, nine more than any other Washington State defender.

HC Will Stein — Kentucky Wildcats

Despite a thrilling 35-34 overtime victory over South Carolina last week, Kentucky, led by former Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein, dropped out of the AP poll rankings. They proved that they belonged in Week 6, winning in the exact same situation — 35-34 in overtime, winning on a two-point conversion — but this time against No. 10 LSU. The Wildcats are 5-1 and ranked No. 15.

HC Tosh Lupoi — California Golden Bears

Former Oregon defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi quieted some of the concerns of California's offense on Saturday, as the Golden Bears managed 403 total yards and 25 points in a win over Virginia Tech at home despite being without starting quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele. Lupoi has led California to a 3-3 record through six games.
