Iowa kicks off Big Ten Conference play with a ranked showdown against Michigan
There will be no easing into the Big Ten Conference slate for Iowa football.
Instead, the Hawkeyes will be tested right out of the gates this Saturday, September 26, when they travel to Michigan.

This begins a set of back-to-back games vs. ranked opponents for Iowa (3-0 overall). The Hawkeyes are coming off a 55-0 beatdown of Northern Iowa that followed a narrow win over Iowa State.
To open the season, Iowa bested Northern Illinois, 40-0. All three of those games took place from inside Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.
A visit to the “Big House” marks the first time this version of the Hawks has stepped outside of the state.

Iowa has received strong performances from Hank Brown and a number of players at running back. Brown has thrown for at least 129 yards in all three games. Kamari Moulton missed last week after piling up 240 yards in the first two, as Xavier Williams led three running backs over 100 with 151 vs. Northern Iowa.
Which Michigan Will Iowa See This Week In The Big Ten Conference Opener?
It has definitely been an interesting season to date for the Wolverines. After escaping Western Michigan, 13-12, they clipped Oklahoma, 17-10.
Last week, the Wolverines rolled UTEP, 52-17, as Bryce Underwood threw for 223 yards. Underwood, the talented sophomore, was the leading rusher in both the Western Michigan and Oklahoma games.
On the year, Underwood is 40-for-64 for 504 yards and three TDs, rushing for 156 yards and two scores. JJ Buchanan is the leading receiver with 15 receptions for 266 and two touchdowns.
