The LSU Tigers have hit the reset button on their season, firing Brian Kelly and handing the interim keys to Frank Wilson. After the bye week, they are heading on the road to be greeted by the No. 4-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Crimson Tide is a heavy favorite in this game, which is not very surprising. The Tigers have been spiraling as of late and are in their first matchup since firing their head coach. Alabama is 7-1, at home and undefeated in SEC play.

While some teams have been able to play the Crimson Tide close, Kalen DeBoer's squad has rattled off seven straight wins. It would be a massive upset if Wilson was able to lead LSU to a victory tonight.

The Tigers do have the talent to compete in this game, but it will be up to Wilson and new play-caller Alex Atkins to finally make LSU look like themselves again on offense. Defensive coordinator Blake Baker has a tall task as well, but his group as looked solid for most of the season.

The Tigers are 27-57-5 all-time against Alabama. The Crimson Tide has won 12 of the last 14 matchups. LSU broke an eight-game win streak back in 2019. Alabama won the next two, but then Jayden Daniels and Kelly led the Tigers to an overtime win in 2022. The Crimson Tide has now won the last two games, and they haven't been close.
