It's senior night for the LSU Tigers as they play their final game in Tiger Stadium of the season on Saturday against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. This matchup isn't as important as it could have been since the Tigers became bowl-eligible last week, but they still need the win to get a better bowl.
Unsurprisingly, LSU is a heavy favorite in this game. The Hilltoppers have been solid this season, but they are unproven as the Tigers will be their first and only Power 4 conference opponent.
Western Kentucky is 8-2 this season, thanks to a solid passing attack. Their two quarterbacks have combined for 2,961 yards with 21 touchdowns to eight interceptions. Rodney Tisdale Jr. took over starting duties midseason due to an injury to Maverick McIvor, and has been good.
LSU will not have the luxury of writing them off, as this could end up being a closer game than it looks on paper. It's also not a very high-profile game, so it'll be a little bit harder to watch as it's not on any of the major channels.
The Tigers are 2-0 all-time against the Hilltoppers. The last meeting between the two teams came back in 2015. LSU won that game by a score of 48-20. The first meeting came back in 2011, where the Tigers won 42-9.
