The Texas Longhorns softball team continues its quest to be back-to-back WCWS national champions tonight in the semifinals of the SEC postseason tournament. The Longhorns will face No. 13 Georgia at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Texas-Georgia winner will face the winner between Alabama and Florida. The Longhorns got a bye through the first two rounds based on regular season record. Texas crushed the Ole Miss Rebels 6-0 in the Quarterfinals on Thurday night.
Led by junior Randi Roelling, the Georgia pitching staff is stout, with a combined 3.35 ERA and 1.49 WHIP to go with 296 strikeouts and a paultry .258 batting average against.

The defending national champs finished their second year in the SEC with a 39-10 overall record and 16-8 in the conference. conference. The Longhorns capped off the regular season by dropping their final conference series to the Arkansas Razorbacks, but salvaged a win in the last game of the series.
