Lukas Prock has emerged as one of the most electrifying young quarterbacks in the country, putting up huge numbers at the Hun School while drawing the attention of college football’s biggest programs.
His sophomore season this year cemented him as a national name, and his journey is quickly becoming one of the most compelling stories in prep football.
His play earned him a spot as a finalist on the ALL-USA East Football Team, which also makes him a finalist for the national ALL-USA Football Team. Both of those teams will be announced later this month. Here is the full list of quarterback finalists.
At just 16, Prock stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 180 pounds, a frame that already projects well for the next level. But it’s his production on the field that has made him a headline name.
This season, Prock threw for 4,330 passing yards and 41 touchdowns, averaging an astonishing 360.8 yards per game. He completed 226 of 309 passes, with only seven interceptions, showing both efficiency and explosiveness.
His season included standout performances like a 501-yard, five-touchdown game against St. Thomas More and a gritty 346-yard effort against powerhouse IMG Academy, which finished 9-0 and is No. 6 in the USA Today Super 25 Football rankings.. These numbers didn’t just lead his team; they ranked him sixth nationally in passing yards, according to MaxPreps, and first in New Jersey across multiple categories.
Prock’s career arc is already impressive, putting him on pace to challenge state and regional records by the time he graduates. His consistency against elite competition in the NEPSAC Class A division has made him a must-watch prospect, and his ability to rise in big games has earned him recognition as one of the top 10 sophomore quarterbacks nationally.
Although it is early in the process, Prock has already received college offers from Ohio State, Boston College, Rutgers and Illinois, among others. He has also taken unofficial visits to Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers, Ohio State and Boston College this year. ESPN and On3 both highlight him as a pocket passer with advanced mechanics, strong arm talent and poise beyond his years.
Beyond the numbers and recruiting buzz, Prock’s story is one of rapid rise and maturity. Coming from Wellesley, Massachusetts, he chose the Hun School of Princeton to test himself against elite prep competition. That decision has paid off, as he now faces national powers, proving he can thrive against the best.
Coaches describe him as resilient and detail-oriented, with the ability to command the offense and elevate teammates.
