Burruss says her ex-husband crossed a line by bringing details of their private life into the public conversation.
Kandi Burruss is pushing back after her ex-husband Todd Tucker publicly discussed intimate details from their marriage, saying some parts of their relationship should have remained private. Burruss’s response comes days after TheGrio covered Tucker’s claim that the former couple had threesomes for “most” of their marriage and months after their divorce was finalized with a co-parenting agreement.
People reported that Tucker made the revelation in a trailer for his upcoming project “Til Divorce Do Us Part,” where he said he and Burruss had participated in threesomes for much of their 11-year marriage.
Burruss responded in a statement to the outlet, criticizing Tucker for bringing their sex life into public conversation.
“A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame. What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that—private. His current behavior has only confirmed that I did the right thing by getting divorced. I Do, I Did, I’m Done!” Burruss shared with People.
Burruss first announced in November 2025 that she was moving forward with a divorce after what she described as deep thought and prayer. At the time, she said her priorities were protecting her peace, focusing on her family and maintaining a respectful co-parenting relationship.
The former couple met in 2011 while filming “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” where Tucker worked as a producer. They became engaged in 2013 and married in April 2014.
Their divorce was finalized in March after more than a decade of marriage. Burruss and Tucker share two children, Ace, 10, and Blaze, 6, and agreed to joint physical and legal custody. They have continued to appear together for family activities since the split, including a June vacation to Bermuda with their children.
