This week’s slate of games may not be top-tier, but there are still some fun matchups to watch out for.

At 11:45 a.m. on SEC Network, Florida will host South Carolina. After losing their third SEC game of the season, this matchup could be the final nail in the coffin for South Carolina’s 2026 season. The Gamecocks are 2-3, so their postseason hopes have already taken a significant hit, but what would the ramifications be if they went on the road and lost another game to a new head coach and staff whose program looks like what South Carolina should be at this point in Shane Beamer’s tenure?

This game also features Florida returning home after getting embarrassed on the road in Columbia against Missouri. Can Jon Sumrall get his team refocused and have the Gators take their frustrations out on a beat-up South Carolina squad? This has all the ingredients to be a great bounce-back game for the Gators.

At 2:30 p.m. on ABC, the Red River Rivalry will take place in Dallas, Texas, as the Longhorns match up against the Sooners.

Oklahoma is having a very disappointing season so far, and offensively, the Sooners look lost. Texas is currently a 7.5-point favorite, so the Longhorns should win this game, but this is why you play the games.

There are a few Sooners who were on the other side of the field for this same matchup last year, but due to NIL situations in Austin, they had to find themselves a new home.

This game will be one to pay attention to, as Oklahoma still has a really good defense. If the Sooners’ offense can find any level of success and establish a rhythm, it could put Texas in a very uncomfortable position.

Finally, as of this moment, Georgia is set to take on Alabama at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.

This game is currently scheduled to be played in Tuscaloosa, but there are major weather implications at play right now. Hurricane Isaias is currently in the Gulf and gaining strength, and this could be a literal act of God that might give one of these teams some type of advantage.

If this game is not moved because of the weather and is still played at its scheduled time, it will be very fun to watch.

Kirby Smart has only been able to beat Kalen DeBoer once since DeBoer took over at Alabama. Both teams come into this matchup highly ranked and very talented, and this game will have major implications for the rest of the SEC.

The weather could be a major factor in this game, but both teams are very similar offensively, ranking in the top half of the SEC in both rushing and passing offense.

What are some games you’re looking forward to this weekend, and do you think the SEC will move the Alabama-Georgia game?
