The Indiana Hoosiers are getting another member of their 2025 national championship team back for the 2026 season. Defensive lineman Kellan Wyatt is taking advantage of a fifth year of eligibility to return to the Hoosiers, with the program announcing his return Thursday on social media.

He is the second Indiana player to do so, joining defensive lineman Stephen Daley. Both players received another year of eligibility after a District Court judge in Colorado issued a preliminary injunction that grants athletes from the 2022 high school class an additional year of eligibility.

Wyatt started the first seven games of the season for Indiana before suffering a season-ending injury against the Michigan State Spartans. He recorded 27 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 8.0 tackles for loss before going down.

He spent the first three years of his career playing linebacker for the Maryland Terrapins before transferring to Indiana ahead of the 2025 season. He totaled 80 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles in 35 games.

Wyatt and Daley add even more proven talent to Indiana's defensive line for the 2026 season as they chase their second national championship. While they are both coming off season-ending injuries, the Hoosiers have the depth to bring them along carefully to start the season.
