Indiana football landed another recruit for its 2027 class on Sunday when three-star defensive back Brady Scott announced his commitment to the Hoosiers.
The 6-foot, 195-pound standout from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts became Indiana’s ninth known pledge in the 2027 cycle. Scott selected the Hoosiers over a lengthy list of Power Four programs, including Vanderbilt, UCLA, Iowa, Louisville, Penn State, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke, Boston College, Minnesota and others.
Scott made multiple trips to Bloomington during the recruiting process. Indiana hosted him several times during the spring, including an official visit in late April.
The Rivals Industry Rankings place Scott as the No. 525 overall player in the 2027 class and the No. 49 safety nationally. He is also ranked among the top players in Massachusetts, with listings as high as No. 4 in the state and No. 5 by 247Sports.
The Hoosiers are recruiting Scott primarily as a safety, although his versatility was a major factor in the staff’s interest. He has experience throughout the secondary and has also contributed on offense as a wide receiver. The program plans to take advantage of that flexibility at the next level.
Scott finished with 59 tackles, seven pass breakups, three interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery for Tabor Academy during the 2025 season. He has accumulated more than 150 tackles and seven interceptions over the last three years.
A multi-sport athlete who has also competed in lacrosse and track, Scott joins a growing Indiana recruiting class that now features nine commitments and is ranked No. 42 nationally at the time of his pledge. He also becomes the second safety commitment in the Hoosiers’ 2027 class, adding another dynamic defensive back to Curt Cignetti’s future roster plans.
